ECEC Awards

Every year, the Early Childhood Education Council recognizes up to three educators or advocates with awards for their contributions to the field of early childhood education at our annual conference. If you know of anyone who would fit the criteria below and be deserving of one of these awards,  please feel free to nominate them by filling out the following form :    https://forms.gle/7ez2AFeJfHhqaZuQ6

All nominations require 2 letters of reference that will need to be sent to our Past President,  Lynn McEachern​, at   [email protected]. The criteria for these letters can be found in our handbook: http://www.ecec-ata.com/constitution--handbook.html.  
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email our Past President. 

 The deadline for submitting nominations for all awards is February 6, 2026.

The E.C.E.C.
​Award

This award is presented to a member of the organization who has contributed to the field of early childhood education by exemplifying the philosophy of the Early Childhood Education Council and who has taken action to promote this philosophy.

The Advocate for Young Children Award

​This award recognizes the contributions of either a member or non member who has shown to be a advocate for young children on a provincial and regional levels. ​​

The Distinguished Service Award

This award is presented to a member of the organization who has contributed to the field of early childhood education  by exemplifying the ECEC philosophy for their career as a leader in the field of Early Childhood.
